A Each day I live upon this earth, I'm increasingly amazed,
How much I learn of life that really leaves me in a daze.
Just how a man who knows it all can still increase his knowledge,
I thought I had all I would need, though I never went to college.
But things still come at me and make me wonder if I'm right,
for sometimes I meet a dolt, that makes me lay awake at night.
See those of us who know it all, with no need for further learning,
are really taken aback and our frustration starts to burning.
When some, simple little idiot, who I can barely tolerate,
teaches me a lesson, that my mind cannot obliterate.
For one much less smart than me and sometimes even children,
Succeeds in making me to think, my brain might still be building.
So as I go through life imparting all that I have in me,
I quietly ask God to send me an idiot now and then.
