If you weren't born in Texas, there's not much we can do,
to help you with your self esteem, and not embarrass you.
You can't help where you're born, or where your parents lived,
but now you're grown and on your own, there's no excuse to give.
For just one Texas sunset, will haunt you for all time,
and fling on you a cravin, for this great ole Texas life.We know it's hot and humid here, we Texas folks don't mind,
as long as we're on Texas soil we know we'll be just fine.
So get yourself to Texas as fast as you can go,
get you some boots, a hat and jeans, take in a rodeo.
Cause if you're not from Texas the "next best thing" of all,
is move to Texas anyway, smile and say, "Howdy Y'all"
