I wake to sunlight creeping under my eyelids, through the wall of windows in my room.
Sitting on the side of my bed my mind says, thank you Lord, as my heart lifts at the beauty of the woods.
The sun reflects off each leaf as it penetrates the darkness.
There is a myriad of color to please my mind.
A pair of wrens play on top of the shed and in the
Vitex plant, bouncing to and fro with the antics.
Thank you, Lord, for the beauty of this world you provide.
I know this is not my home, but this morning, it will do.
