Memorial Day remembers those who gave us all they had
so many of them volunteer to go when things were bad
We trained them to be warriors to fight for freedoms ring
So many died to gain ground that now doesn't mean a thing
They battled not to move the line but for their fellow man
that buddy now with half a leg, another without a hand
They laid it down for liberty, and still until this day,
they are leaving their life's blood, in lands so far away.
So stand and wave those stars and stripes, don't ever let them sag
remembering each of those hero's, in the box under the flag.
