What a Day Yesterday Was

Most of my days are memories now

They flow through my mind never ending

Some make me recall those good days of old

Thank God, they're still there, for remembering

The good and the bad are all written down

Like tablets of ivory in the halls of my head

They have such power to influence my moods

A fragrance, a sound, and my minds outward bound

A song of those days when freedom was free

And was there all around for the taking

I think of those days of the joys and the pain

I danced in some sunshine, walked home in some rain

Days not so joyful and times when I've failed,

They come back to haunt when I let them

I lived through them all some stumbles some falls

God says they build wisdom so pass them along

I'll spend what's left of my days in His light,

I'll walk in his brightness forgetting the fight.

For He's always there to make me remember,

What a special day yesterday was.

Phil. 1:3 I thank my God at every thought of you.
